Hey embroidery lovers, get in here! I’ve got two adorable free templates for you — each featuring a sweet little stick-figure girl cuddling her kitten.

Whether you’re new to stitching or just want something simple and heartwarming, these designs are perfect for a quick project or a gift. Both patterns are clean, easy to trace, and totally beginner-friendly!

What’s included:

  • Two unique line-art designs (each with its own charm!)
  • Ready-to-print templates for your next hoop project
  • 100% free — because sharing creativity should be fun!

Grab your favorite thread colors, pop on some music, and enjoy a relaxing stitch session.

This is a great time to try out your new punch needle, some redwork, or just try out a new stitch.

Both of the patterns are incorporated into one PDF file (below).

There is no suggested DMC color palette with these designs because I want you to play around with your own ideas. You can bead it, punch needle, fill it in with satin stitches, just do backstitching, redwork, etc.

  1. Fabric: A piece of light-colored cotton or linen works best.
  2. Embroidery Hoop: A 6-inch hoop is a good size for this project.
  3. Embroidery Needle: A size 7 or 8 needle is ideal.
  4. DMC Floss Colors (suggestions above)
  5. Scissors: Small, sharp embroidery scissors for cutting thread.
  6. Water-Soluble Fabric Marker: To transfer the pattern onto fabric.
