Mother’s Day is right around the corner and probably like you, I’m scratching my head over what to get my mom that isn’t the traditional, “flowers or candy.”
Like my mom, I love to garden. So I thought I’d post some gardening gifts that I’d love. Hopefully, they’ll help you get an idea of what to get your mom.
Tropical plants are always fun to grow, and they taste good! How about some cute avocado seed starter holders? The seeds can then be set inside a fish tank to gain extra nutrients.
A PH meter takes the guesswork out of gardening. I wish I had one of these. (Hint, hint, kids.)
If your mom is a serious gardener, she’s going to want indoor grow lights. LED grow lights, because they conserve energy, unlike the old ones that used way too much energy. This will help your mom keep her gardening hobby affordable. I own these lights and absolutely love them! They really helped keep my plants from getting too leggy.
Plumeria flower plants straight from Hawaii! If you have never smelled plumeria flowers you are truly missing out, they are amazing! Your mom needs these flowers growing in her home.
A wheelbarrow is also an essential gardening tool. I hate having to haul heavy bags of dirt, bark, and rocks around, this garden wheelbarrow would make things so much easier.
Don’t laugh but, this little garden tool is amazingly fun to use. The nut collector works like a dream. No more bending over and gathering up nuts that have fallen to the ground. This tool makes picking up nuts 10X faster.
A gardening basket is exceptionally helpful for heavy harvests. Not only can you use it to pick things, but you can also spray your produce off with the hose quickly too. That allows you to keep the dirt outside in the garden where it belongs.
Laugh if you must but, I like to wear aprons for dirty jobs like gardening. Not only does the apron keep my clothes clean, but it gives me extra pockets. How often do women’s clothes even come with pockets anyway? Well, this apron solves the problem of where to put the seeds when you’re planting; and gives you enough room to collect a few tomatoes, etc.
Let me know if those ideas helped. If you’re a mom who loves to garden and want your kids to buy you something from this list, feel free to send them the link to this page.
