Modern Redwork Embroidery – Free Pattern Links
There’s something simple about Redwork embroidery that always gets my attention. Does it get your attention too?
Redwork with DMC 321 leaps off the page, especially when the red thread is done with modern Redwork designs.
I’m not crazy about the old-fashioned patterns, but I love the look of modern Redwork embroidery pieces. The modern pieces are representative of our time, just as the Redwork was representative of the lives of the 1900’s when it first started becoming popular.
Isn’t it something that Redwork is still a popular needle artform 122 years later?
Many of my patterns are simple enough to be used strictly for Redwork, so I thought I’d compile a list of links where you can download some modern patterns to use in your Redwork, Bluework, Blackwork, or Goldwork. You don’t have to just stick to red!
Click on each picture to be taken directly to the pattern. Not all patterns below have a Redwork example, but all will look good in your next Redwork embroidery project.

Check back in a few months and I’ll have more patterns listed here for you to make some really awesome pieces of Redwork art for your home.
