Free Strawberry Blossom Pattern, a must-have!

Spring has finally arrived in Michigan. The cherry blossoms are just starting and soon the strawberry blossoms will in full bloom. I can’t wait to eat fresh strawberries warmed by the sun.
Fresh strawberries always remind me of my mom’s strawberry pie. As a kid, she would always make me a strawberry pie for my birthday. I believe she always used the Big Boy pie recipe. I’m not going to post the Big Boy pie recipe here, but you can download the recipe from Copycat.
A quick interesting fact about strawberries; did you know that the entire strawberry, hull, and leaves are edible?

We have pink and white strawberry blossoms in the strawberry beds at our home. I assume the beds got mixed up with native, everbearing, and June strawberry plants. The photo I took above was of the white blossoms, but I used a pink DMC color for the pattern. I should have kept better notes about which pink color I used, but I think it was either DMC 956 or DMC 891 that I used for the pattern example in the photo. I’m sure whatever color you choose for the pattern will be perfect.
