Here’s a couple of fun facts about oak trees that I didn’t know in case you’re looking for a little trivia to go with your free pattern…
- There are over 600 different species of oak trees
- Oak trees aren’t considered old until they’re about 700 years old
- Oak trees will produce about 10 million acorns in their lifetime
While I was hiking one day I found this little oak leaf on the forest floor, tucked it into my pocket and carried it home. I knew it wouldn’t last long so I took a picture of it and from there, turned it into a pattern for you.
