Have you ever tried Dekuyper Buttershots? Dekuypers Buttershots is an adult version of those little yellow butterscotch disk candies.
Dekuyper Buttershots can be found in the liquor aisle, usually on the bottom of the shelf as it’s one of the cheaper brands.
Typically apples are a fall favorite but I had a few extra that I wanted to get rid of and thought maybe the apples would pair well with Buttershots. Boy, was I right! Apples and Buttershots pair perfectly together.

Apples with a Twist
3 Small Honeycrisp Apples

Directions:
Cut, core, and slice the apples. In an 8″ cast iron fry pan slightly melt the butter. Once the butter starts to melt and covers the bottom, add the apples and fry on medium to medium-high heat for about 20 minutes. When apples are slightly brown add the brown sugar and Dekuyper Buttershots.
Serve warm with whipped cream or premium vanilla ice cream.

Any pan can be used, but I chose a cast iron pan because I like how the heat stays an even temperature throughout the entire pan vs. some of them that get cool on the outer edges.
Feel free to double this recipe, just make sure you use a larger pan.
P.S. Don’t wait until fall to make this awesome recipe, your taste buds will thank you!
